with those of you who drive 3.73's on automatic trannys. will it hurt your vehicle if you drive long distances weekly. what could happen. will the same happen with 3.42's. any help would be appreciated.

i have had 2.72's,3.42's and 3.73's
in that order and it hasn't done any real harm to my tranny.
i drive about for 20minutes twice a day to work cruising at anywhere from 60-85mph
2.72's- 28mpg
3.42's i got 24mpg
3.73's i got around 21mpg

i now have the 3.42's and i like them the best- the car still has a nice jump off the line, pulled hard in 2nd and 3rd and doesn't run out of gear @ 90mph(like the 3.73's)

this is in a 89iroc w/ peanut 305 and slopautomatic th700r4
