putting in a stroker next year and have a couple questions

Would it be worth upgrading to a 4l80e if I run a 400+ hp stroker?
and
At what point do I need to upgrade the rear to a 12 bolt or 9in. rear?

Really, it depends on what you plan on doing with the car. If it's going to see a lot of track use with sticky tires, a 12-bolt will most likely be necessary eventually. I can't offer an opinion on the tranny, being a 6-speed guy.
