Pulled tranny, chipped bolt hole

I pulled the transmission to get a rebuild and upgrade (5th gear is shot) and before I even got all the bolts out I heard something drop and hit the ground, confused I saw a little chunk of metal. I look and see a chip where one of the bottom bolts goes. Can I get along with this small piece missing or can I replace just this part of the case? Anyone know how much something like that would cost??

Re: Pulled tranny, chipped bolt hole

I would change it, I had a th350 that had one missing and didn't run into any problems, but I r2 the housing as soon as I could.

you can get another bell housing, I think Mcleod makes one for like 450. I know they do for the LSX, maybe find one at a bone yard... Good luck.
