Prothane polyurethane transmission mount
Prothane polyurethane transmission mount
Ive read that the Energy Suspension transmission mount is taller than the factory LT1 tranny mount, and this causes vibrations in the driveline. Does anyone have experience with the Prothane mount? Or should I just get a new LS1 tranny mount? thanks!

Spend a little more money and get a 1LE Transmission Mount.

haha hey johnny, what happened to "prothane SUCKS!"
So, which is better, LS1 tranny mount, or 1LE mount? what are the differences?

In my GM parts diagrams the LS1 mount appears to be of a different shape. (Not to say that it would not work)
The 1LE mount fits perfectly, and outperforms stock. It’s not as strong as the polyurethane mount, but you will not get any vibration nor thumping.
As far as Prothane, I think they suck!

Re: Prothane polyurethane transmission mount
I have the ES mount in my 95, not too much extra vibration, but then again, I dont think I would notice vibration from the tranny due to the lack of exhaust I am running. If you can tolerate a little shake then go with the ES, replace it once and dont worry about it ever again.
