Problems pulling the trany

It's almost all of the way off of the splines and the bellhousing is hitting the firewall. I've tried jacking up the front of the motor a little, didn't help too much. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Did you try lowering the jack (so that it lowers the tranny and it sits at an angle)? Mine had lots of room and that's with new polyurethane motor mounts.

It sounds like you are taking the trans and bellhousing out together. If so you need to remove the trans from the bellhousing and take the trans out first.

Yeah, I was pulling it with the bellhousing. Ion, did you pull it with the bellhousing?

Nope, I did it without the bellhousing. That's the way to do it. Same goes for the install.
