Problems with clutch after motor install....

Got the motor and trans in for the second time. I also put the new spec stage 4 in. My clutch pedal is hard as a rock, I don't think its engaging the clutch. Someone tell me I don't have to pull the tranny again.

Did you make sure the slave cylinder rod w/ the round ball at the end is sitting in the cluch fork hole at the end of it?

Yes the piston is seated on the fork. I don't know what could be wrong.

Re: Problems with clutch after motor install....

Had the exact same problem with the same clutch and everything. Turns out that first off the clutch fork wasnt seated all the way. The fork doesnt fall out or anything does it? If it does, keep trying cause its not in all the way. Second. Undo you fitting to the back of your slave and let the fluid out. Then when you have the fork installed properly, bolt on your slave, then put the line back to it. Re-bleed the slave, until the petal feels good but it still engages your clutch. Meaning, have your car up on 4 jack stands to see if your clutch is engages and your wheels dont move while the car is in the air and motor turning over.

PM me if you got any other questions.

Re: Problems with clutch after motor install....

something like that happened to me. Felt like there was a ton of bricks under the pedal, and after like 3 pumps it wouldn't move anymore. Turns out there the fork wasn't on, like they said above. I had to pull the trans, rotate the t/o bearing 1/4" to the left, and put it all back together. Worked beautifully after that.

Sucks if that's what happened to you, but if the driveshaft and all the trans mounts and everything is outta the way, it should only take like 30 minutes to correct.

Re: Problems with clutch after motor install....

I took the actuator off today and the fork looks like its on, but with the actuator off, the clutch pedal is still hard as a rock and only gives about 1/2 in. So I'm assuming my problem is between the actuator and slave cylinder. Any ideas so I can get this monster running tonight?????? PLEASE HELP

Re: Problems with clutch after motor install....

Ok I tried to start the car with the actuator off. But I had to push clutch pedal for engine to turn over. I pushed pedal too hard and the rod broke off of the actuator. Does this help anyone figure out my problem. Why would pushing the clutch hard with actuator off tranny break it????????????????? I am clueless I need help

Re: Problems with clutch after motor install....

Yes, again same thing that happen to me man. You need a new slave cylinder now cause you blew the seal out of your old one. 45$ special order from Autozone. I encountered the same problem with my second one, so follow my instructions again. Btw... you know you can reach your hand up under the pedal and hit the switch behind the clutch??? But for real, if you have any problems PM me, I was just there!
