problem wit burnouts

kk. i have a 94 z28 wit a t56 and replaced the clutch throw out bearing and computer just to thro it in there. so i drop the clutch n spin all first gear. then when i get into second and try to keep it going the car looses power and the tires just stop spinning and the clutch slips. i cant figure it out. i dont have traction control casue theres nooo button. im so annoyed. any ideas.

Is the engine stock or modified? What clutch did you put in? What tires are you running? If the "tires spinning and clutch slipping" you describe occuring on the street, or on a prepared track? What RPM are you pushing it to before you dump the clutch? Does it hook, and then bog, or does it bog first, and then hook?

if its a stock car and your doing a rolling type burnout on the street my guess would be your getting more grip in second then you have power. at the track i go from first to second in the burnout box with nitto555s on the back, then again its getting the foot brake, and yes t-56

did you replace the flywheel? by what you are saying you probably did that a lot before changing the clutch, the flywheel may need some truing or reconditioning.

It's usually a given but did not see it...did you replace the pressure plate too?
