Possible manual transmission problem, need insight

I usually hang on the V6 board but thought this would be the best place to ask a tranny problem.
Here is the deal: when engine and transmission are cold I dont notice the problem as much. When running through the gears (all gears) there is a high pitched whine coming from the tranny I think. It is a supercharger type of whine that gets higher pitched and louder as the rpms go up in each gear. when the car is in nuetral at idle with the clutch not depressed there is a bad roller bearing sound (kinda like a dirty skateboard wheel)

Throwout bearing?

Yeah, I've got a 93 with that problem too. Nasty sounding isn't it, when the throwout bearing can be heard over the exhaust.
