Is it possible to make a Z28 into AWD?

I know it sounds crazy, but is it possible to convert a Z28 into All-Wheel-Drive? I always wanted an american muscle car and is why I have avoided japanese cars. But is it possible to make it AWD?

While it might be possible, you will end up with an overweight, poorly engineered car. If you want AWD, go buy an STi or an Evo. I love American muscle, specifically F-bodies, but that does not mean that I deny how impressive those 2 cars are. I drove a bone stock STi at an autox last weekend, and was ran my quickest time of the day. It was so much easier to drive than my T/A, which is the best handling F-body I have ever driven.

Another option if you want an American AWD vehicle is the Syclone or Typhoon.

Yeah I was actually planning on buying an AWD truck as a second vehicle, such as either the typhoon, syclone, or maybe even the Ford Lightning.

If only GM would have built the Silverado SS like the concept vehicle was, with a regular cab version and a 6-speed. I guess with the current model though, if it were lowered substantially (cause it sits too damn high for a "performance" vehicle?! ) and the engine were spiced up a little more (cause 345 HP is simply NOT ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!) then it could be quite a weapon with the AWD that it has.

While I'm a big fan of extenda-cab TRUCKS, I think the S-SS should be a lowered regular cab to be more comparable to the Lightning........................JMO.

If you love Detroit muscle.... they were no muscle cars built with AWD. Part of what makes a muscle car is rear wheel drive.

they are planning to build a reg. cab Silverado SS but it'll have the same 345hp motor, cause the chicken ****s won't supercharge it, but hey, at least they're producing their performance division stuff now...they could've produced a Silverado SS in 2000 that would smoke the Lightning and it was all motor, i think it ran between 12's and 14's(not sure) but it was reg cab stepside.

the new SS's suck

I would way rather buy a plain jane regular cab 5.3 silverado and strap a blower to it and use it to haul around the $15,000 i saved over the SS while i still run faster. But on to the real question. This question reminds me of my friends who attempted to make a 2WD truck into a 4WD. and i said hmmmmmm why not just save yourself the trouble and buy one that's already 4WD.

I saw a Z28 for sale in the paper last week. In the describing part they said it was 4WD, I just thought they were retarded and didnt know sh*t. Maybe I was wrong.
