From what I have heard, this is usually a problem with automatics more than manual trans.

Yup, that's a poly mount for ya! I bought one for my '02 WS6 I used to own, hated it so much I put the stock one back on and sold the poly mount for $10 to someone local.

I like poly mounts. Replacing torn ones is a pain in the ***.

Re: poly urathene mounts suck!!

Get a 1LE solid rubber mount. The factory mount is hollow rubber to dampen vibration. Poly mounts are pretty harsh and a little taller. That alone may have changed the driveline angle enough to make an already slightly out of balance shaft a little more noticeable. The 1LE mount is plenty stiff, won't break easily and the vibrations are minimal.

Re: poly urathene mounts suck!!

I had the Energy Susp. poly mount. The vibration wears off after a month or so, but since mine was used and was already broken in, it wasn't that bad. Or I just got used to it...and it made it feel a tad bit quicker, too.

Funny, the guy I bought mine from had the same complaint, his wife acutally didn't like the vibration in the car. But I thought Camaros were suppose to make you feel that way...

I have the same freakin problem. If I put the car in gear, I will hear a vibration come from the rear of the car and stay until I give the car gas. I have a energy suspension mount BTW.

Re: poly urathene mounts suck!!

I accidentally ordered a set of solid mounts once

More vibration than a Sylbiline.

There's a reason the factory doesn't use them.

While you may get more responses here they might not be as good as you would get in the drivetrain section

I suppose you haven't done a search either?

If you know what to install and/or how to install it, the polyurethane tranny mount is a good thing to have, IMO.
