What brand are you guys using, I've been calling Energy Suspensions for over two years now and they keep saying they're still working on making a correct one for our cars. Well at least they are still pretending like they are serious about it.
Anyone use the Prothane's? Are they made for our cars dimensions?

For the price, the Energy Suspension mount is well worth it IMO. I used one in my 93 Z28 and one in my 95 Formula (both M6s). I was very happy with the way both cars feel after the install.

I had the ES mount and took it off after my teeth chattering at higher speeds for too long. I also had the aluminum driveshaft and still had BAD vibration. I went to a LS1 tranny mount and really like it better. Just my .02.

I'll sell the ES mount cheap if anyone wants one, it's sitting in a box on the shelf.

I went with the Poly mount and I didnt notice any difference in vibration..of course compared to the trans slamming into the frame with the broken mount, the poly was a world of difference.

I installed an energy supsention poly mount on my 86 IROC after I broke the trany mount on that, and I never got rid of the vibration after that.

I just installed one on my 94 a few weeks ago, and only have the vibrations at 80+ and at different throttle posistions, which I'm hoping is the torque arm bushing.

IMO it's 100 times better then having the stock mount break at the track.

My experience is that some cars vibrate with them, some dont. Why? because rubber insolates vibration better than polyurethane which is better than solid. In other words, if you have a slight driveshaft vibration, it might not become apparent until you stiffen up the closest rubber mount at the trans. If some of you guys have cars rattling your brains out, it may be a driveshaft out of whack. Also some guys run adjustable torque arms; it might be telling you that your pinion angle is incorrect.

I run a poly torque arm mount and trans mount and noticed no more vibrations than the stocker.

After i installed mine, yes after 80mph i had a hard vibration, but after some miles, it is actually good and very little additional vibration, best bang.

I went autozone and purchase a cheap *** trans mount only for $17.99 that comes with life time warrenty. I just bought because this is my 3 mount installed. 1 stock mount from Gm and 1 from Energy Suspension mount both broke on me! I am tired of paying $45+ for a trans mount. Do you thing this cheap *** one will work? If it breaks at least it is under warrenty... But I am thinking of ordering the LS1 mount today too....

Question

ok well someone said that the poly mounts will not allow the correct angle of the ds. my question would be, is the trans too
high or too low. i installed one of these mounts and my car
vibrated like hell , i removed the top metal bracket and that helped a lot but did not solve all the vibration problem so i
bought another ds had it balanced and new joints installed
but above 80 it still vibrates but not as harsh. i really do not want
to go back to a stock mount.
