Poll!!! Swap my auto for a T56?

When I orginally bought my Z28 I figured that I would be bracket racing every weekend with it. After a year and a half of owning it, I have been to the track 10 times, maybe once a month during the spring and summer. While the auto is great for consistency at the strip, its such a tease driving around all the curvy backroads where I live. I also commute 70 miles each day to school on the interstate, and it would be nice to get 30 MPG instead of the 23 I am getting now.
So I am seriously considering two options, either do a T56 swap or sell the car and buy a M6. I want everybody to give me some advice as to what I should do.

Well if you can get a good amount for you're car, that's the easiest thing to do. If you can't get what you need for it, just do the M6 swap. It can be done in about a day.

the 4L60E -> T56 swap is a PITA, even if you know what you're doing. one of the most crucial steps is cutting the holes for the master cylinder. you must be near EXACT if you want everything to fit up correctly.
