i bought an A4 94 z28 with 150k miles the car wuz not driven for over a year till i bought it, not running the fuel pump gave out when i test drove it . i got it running recently and the trany is a little off cuz when i drive it the rpm's max out and the gears don't kik in till i let go of the gas, and reverse gear shakes a bit... help please?!?!?!?

 

Mine sat for a few months and did the same thing. I was told the bands need to get resaturated with fluid. It actually worked in my case. Shifts fine now. Although you might need a rebuild too. I would drive it easy for a few days if it is drivable and see if it works itself out on its own. If not...time for a rebuild.
