...pinion seal and bad bearings...

...yeah so back to the old topic of my dealer breaking my car, they found a pinion seal leak in the rear end and they decided to fix it....after fixing it, they over tightened it..and the bearings broke through... but it broke in the rear end....and in the front where the trans connects to the drive shaft. What I don't get is how did the trans bearings break when then tightened the rear end? Did it pull on it? Any light on this, since it's now fixed correctly, is there another chance that it might break?

My dealer did the exact same thing. Then they wouldn't warranty their pinion seal repair as the cause of the rear diff problem. GM wouldn't cover it under extended warranty claiming "the failure was caused by lack of lubrication", even though the pinion seal had been replaced and the diff serviced less than 48 hours before failure.

So, since I was footing the repair bill, I threw in a set of 4.11 gears.

those dealers are rotten man, I don't get what they have to lose, they still get paid by GM, what do they care. I took it in just for windows....only windows. And they found the seal so they fixed it. Then the thing happened and then I took it back, they couldn't do anything about it but fix it because the car ran fine before I brought it in there....
