People with stall converters(3000+)

How is reverse for you? Is there any change in how the car acts with a high stall and reverse? Thanks.

Re: People with stall converters(3000+)

ITs been a while since I've had a high stall car, but from what I remember there wasn't any problem. I'm sure it revs up higher to stall speed before it moves just like in forward gears. I wouldn't worry to much over it, moving forward the gas pedal will feel a little mushy, like it lost throttle response, but thats what happens with high stall convertors-they have to rev up to their stall speed. Why the concern for reverse?

I have a vig 3200 and it will not back up unless I give it some gas and is more difficult backing up a hill. in drive the car will move without any throttle.

Reverse is a higher ratio than first and will require more throttle. The converter has absolutely nothing to do with reverse in the transmission however.
