Im sick and tired of this ES Poly mount, i heard i can put an LS1 tranny mount in my LT1... Can anyone supply me with a part #? 95 Lt1 Auto

 

I believe the stock LT1 A4 tranny mount is now the 1LE part. Beefier than the original LT1 part but not as harsh as the ES poly mount. My friend runs an A4 in his 95 Z28 with 600 rwhp and is happy with the 1LE part.

Called Jason Cromer today, I asked him if the LS1 mounts fit the LT1s and he said hes had quite a few orders of that with no complaints. He said the 1LEs were discontinued so I ordered and LS1 mount, it was $49 but I cant wait to get rid of this nasty POLY mount vibration!!

 

any ls1 mount fit the lt1s???

 

I've been thinking about changing my tranny mount, but I'm not sure I need a new one. Maybe those of you that can comment here.

It looks to me like the rubber an metal are joined at only two spots near the outer edges of mount on the stock LT1. It also looks like the mount was designed this way, but I could be wrong. If so, I'd like to know about that. Also, could someone that has changed to the LS1 style mount, comment on this rubber to metal bonding?

 

I asked for an LS1 mount for my 95 Z28, and all he asked was if it was 6speed or auto, so im assuming?

You know when your tranny mount needs to be replaced when you hit the gas and you hear a loud bang from underneath the center console.

 

Well I got my tranny mount but I forgot to get the nut that goes with it! d'oh! Do you think I can use a nut from the hardware store or should I drive about 30mins cross town to the only GM dealership that has it.

 

Lets just say that my friend and I both used the exact same ES mount in our cars (his '97 LT1 M6, and my '02 LS1 A4) and the exact same mount worked in both applications.

...SO, it would stand to reason that ALL mounts are interchangable. The part # for an LS1 mount should be the same, A4 or M6.

This came up in another thread, and I'll just mention it here too, I put the ES mount in my car (for something to do, basically!) but the vibration is pretty excessive inside my car. I think I'm probably going to put the stocker back in there (since it's in mint shape anyways).
