old tranny fluid in cooler with new tranny

I am swapping out the good old 4l60e with a new unit that has Amsoil in it, the torque converter has it as well. My old tranny/converter has regular fluid in it, both are coming out.

I am concerned with fluid that may be left over in the trans cooler mixing in with the Amsoil in the new tranny/converter which I think will not be a good thing.

How do I make sure all the old fluid is out.

Thanks

There is a can of tranny flush that is pressurized. Just spray it through the lines without the tranny connected. Spray until the can is completely empty (as per instructions on the can).

I would first lightly blow some compressed air into the feed line to move the majority of the old fluid out. Then buy 2 cans of the Tranny Flush. Run the first can through the cooler backwards, then the 2nd one through the feed tube. This should have you covered.
