Anyone happen to know the exact numbers(stall rpm) of the stock stall converter in a 1996 Z28. I assume they are pretty much the same for 94-97, i think 93 was different.
I was looking at TCI converters for my car but there stalls are based upon stock + numbers, ie 1000 over stock, 1500 over stock.
Just want to know so I don't get too much or too little stall.

 

About 1600-1800. When mine was an auto i got in the driveway one day, held on the brakes pretty hard and pushed on the gas and it would consistantly break the tires loose around that rpm range. So it's pretty close. HTHs
