noise and vibrations

last night I dropped the clutch at like 4000 rpms, it started peeling out, but then after like 3 seconds it made a loud boom and now makes noise when it drives and starts vibrating badly above 1500 rpms when driving. so I brought it home, as I was bringing it home, i felt the drive shaft tunnel right behind the center console and it feels like somethings hitting, nd it's making like a cluncking noise...I was thinking that maybe the u joint broke but is still connected...plus whenevevr suspension moves it makes a rubbing noise

Re: noise and vibrations

Sounds like a broken tranny mount to me. Put a Jack under the tranny and see if you can jack it up.

Re: noise and vibrations

I just put it on the lift and checked it out, my torque arm snapped at the rear end, guess I have to get a new one....by the way is this pretty unusual for this to happen to a camaro with my little amount of mods, I would think you would need alot of horsepower to do such a thing

Re: noise and vibrations

I'm looking for an aftermarket torque arm thats stronger than stock, but inexpensive cause I really don't have the money for this right now , I figure I might as well get the stronger one now rather than later so it doesn't happen again..
please let me know if anyone has any suggestions cause I can't figure out which one to get
