All the sudden when my A-4 downshifts hard like when I stomp on it, it makes a somewhat loud popping noise. It sounds and feels kinda like wheel hop but I know it isnt. What could it be? Transmission mount U-joints? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh and the car is a 95 with 55,000 miles if that helps.
