Angry Noise from T56 when downshifting.

Just put in a new stock clutch (after POS Spec Stage 3 blew its tiny 4 cyl sized springs on daily driven stock car) and now occasionally the past few days, when I push in clutch and pull the shifter to a lower gear, I get a whine from the tranny, doesnt matter which gear I am downshifting to and it quickly goes away when even slightly start to let out on the clutch? WTF could this be? Could not bleeding the master cylinder/slave cylinder after the clutch install be the problem? My pedal does have a VERY SLIGHT vibration when you barely put your foot on the pedal when released and feels a little spongier than before. The only thing that I replaced this time was the clutch disc and had the flywheel turned, new rear main.

Also, drives PERFECTLY fine other than this.

Its the early stages of your clutch goin out. Mine did it when you downshifted and got to the friction point. I am getting ready to replace mine, because it slips in all gears. The next thing you will hear is a whine from the tranny only when you accelerating. I think it is the throw out bearing or something realted causing it.

Good Luck.

It can't be the clutch going out, its only been in the car only about 2 weeks or so, new stock clutch.

Gotta remember power and stock doesnt match up. Stock clutches wasnt to great anyways, a set of 4.10's and minor blotons could kill a clutch. My centerfore did decent till the heads and cam came then it dided after maby 4-5 hard launches.

I have no hard launches on this clutch, I haven't even spun tires with it, no racing on it, and only mods for power are exhaust and open airbox. Today when at a light, with clutch pedal in, I decided to row through the gears to see how they felt, and when I went from 2-3 it did the grinding noise again. WTF could this be?

Perhaps the clutch is not completely engaging. The extra drag works the synchros harder, hence the noise. Does the clutch start to engage just as you start to lift the clutch pedal?
