Noise comoing from rear of Car
Noise comoing from rear of Car
The other day I was driving around town and when I slow down there's a noise that sounds like somethings winding down. I think it's coming from the rear end. It's really noticeable from like 40mph and down while stepping on the brakes.
Re: Noise comoing from rear of Car
Differential gear noise is common. A lot of guys have a leaky pinion seal that will drain your rear end fluid over time...how's yours? You could also have a bad wheel bearing. Does the sound change when you make left and right turns? Usually a bad wheel bearing will stop making noise when you turn one direction, but make noise the other direction or straight.
Re: Noise comoing from rear of Car
I had the pinion seal replaced a few years ago. the noise is deffinatley coming from the rear. I took it for a drive today and its almost constant at like 35 40 mph.
