Shifter slides in fine and does not pop out but its like the car is in neutral, just revs. what could be bad? stripped gears?

 

Possibly the syncro lugs are broken off of the gear! What did you do to hurt the tranny...any powershifting!!!!

 

lol. bought the car like this (for a great price), just need to get this fixed, everything else is strong, minus the 10 bolt of course. how much am i lookin at for syncro lugs?

 

Well if it is the syncro lugs on the gear you will need at least a new gear but likely more. Ya never know until its actually open though. I doubt the teeth are striped off the gear. The lugs would go first I would think. Even breaking all the syncro lugs off the gear is pretty rare.

 

Check out my January Special. I am sure you will need a new gear and most likely will want to upgrade to billet keys, bronze fork pads and get a 1 year warranty

actually. ALL the gears are dead now. they all just grind when the clutch is let out in gear . input shaft? or is the tranny spaghetti?
