Cool New G2 Diff Cover, need help with installing please!

I have a Granatelli G2 diff cover that I bought used from a board member here. I have all the bolts with it and heres my questions:

The center bearing cap bolts, how tight? I think I can just finger tighten them, and then lock em..... (stock cover doesn't have them...)

How tight for the bolts all around the edge of the diff cover...

WHAT TO PUT IN THERE?!?

Thanks!

I have that same cover, bought it used here too a few years ago. I didn't torque the 10 outer bolts, just got them reasonably tight. I dont really think torque specs on them are all that critical. The two preload studs are tightened to 5 ft/lbs though, I called LG to check. I used 2 quarts of 80w90 gear oil and a bottle of GM LSD additive. I think I may go to 80w140 next time since it offers a little more protection for the gears during hard launches plus it's starting to whine now from all the abuse

thanks for the input!

So should I just go straight to 80w140 then?

I would use non-synthetic right?

Has anyone else used that sort of gear oil selection? What brand should I get?

thanks again.

I run mine a lot at the track which is why I was going to go with 80w140, for normal street use I would just use 80w90. I used to use Mobil 1 75/90 but was told the non synthetic is better protection from hard launches because it's thicker. I forget the brand I used last time, non synthetic gear oils are pretty much all the same I'd assume.

When I did my TA cover I torqued the pre-load bolts to 5 ft lbs, 25 ft lbs for the cover bolts, and red RTV silicone sealant on the cover.

good stuff, I think for the center screws which are for my bearnig caps or whatever, I'll just finger tighten them and lock them in place. (no one really answered that one yet)

The stock cover don't have them and I run my stock 3.42s in there....
