Try this site here . Click on clutchs at the top left. This guy has a little write up of a few different clutchs he has had in his car. I just installed a Autozone (PN# NU31265) $270 w/ a LIFETIME warranty clutch. I have a stock Z-28 and it works great. I only have like 300 miles on it but so far so good. Hope this helps bro.

For your mods a Spec stage II would probalby be a good choice. I am very happy with mine. I can't feel a difference with it over stock other then it grabs sooner and harder. Hard enough to chirp my Nitto DRs. Yet it can be diven very smooth with little to no clutch chatter.

Just go with stock for now. I am not a manual guy, but I know a guy with a 383 ported heads, cam, juice and all that good stuff who is using the stock clutch. It has been in there for awhile and will need to be replaced soon, but it can handle more than you think.

I'll give another vote for the SPEC Stage II. I wasn't really happy with it at first, but it seems it just took longer than the normal break-in period to start grabbing hard. Now it grabs harder and sooner than the stocker like said above. It doesn't have any chatter though and is completely fine for normal driving.

What about the Spec stage II and a Z06 for both price and performance? My car is also a daily driver and will be lightly modded for a while (CAI, catback, PCM flash)

I don't think the SPEC Stg III for a LS1 is the same as the Stg III for an LT1 car. Prices are quite different also.

The Stage III LT1 clutch uses ceramic pucks and the II uses kevlar I believe. Both still employ a sprung hub to my knowledge.

You could just go with a stock disc and SLP PP. That's what I'm using now. I'm not sure how well it will hold up, but its a cheaper way to go. Check it out on T Byrne's website. They are a sponser here.

And while you have the trans down, replace the rear main seal in the crankshaft and have the flywheel resurfaced.

a spec III for the lt1 is around 470-500 depending where you go.
