Kinda depends on what current mods he has and what he plans for future mods. A stall should be matched with the cams powerband. If he has a stock cam and doesn't plan on major mods (heads and cam) down the road I recommend a 2,800 stall. Several people I know are running a 2,800 stall with great results on mostly stock vehicles. JMO.
