Need info on 4.10's

I am installing an auburn pro series diff. and I am looking to swap gears and I am leaning more towards 4.10's but I need more info from someone that has been driving 4.10's.

The vehicle I am working on is a 02 Z28 M6

What is the top speed estimated going to be?

Overall what do you guys prefer 3.73's or 4.10's in a M6?

on a M6, 4:10's or nothing...thats my opinion,4:10's wil increase your torque by 20%. Top speed is roughly 135mph.
4:10's are realy not bad for daily driving with a M6.
Let me ask you this..Do you race at the track alot?, what are your goals for the car down the road?

Re: Need info on 4.10's

I do occasionally run at the track. I run an 8.3 in the 1/8 w/only a Borla cat back, gutted cats, and an air lid.

Not sure about the 1/4 but estimating a mid 12 sec.

I plan to add FAST intake,tb,fuel rail, cam, possibly nitrous and still deciding on forced induction.

I would like to aim for low 11's in the 1/4 by the time I am done.

Gear wise I want to go for accel. but don't want to lose top mph but I know I can't have both.

If you go with 4.10 say good bye to top end speed. Now days I could care less of going over 130 MPH.

I love my 4.10's in my 99. With the deep 6th you can still gey up there is speed on the freeway, I live in the subs though and due to the ever present county mounty I don't know what the top speed is.
