Need help with a vibration problem.

My car vibrates around 2K but is smooth below and above 2K. I just had Pace Setter Long tubes put on and the exhaust is not touching anywhere. I have an S10 converter and think it may be going bad. The car still drives fine but was a tenth and 1-2 mph slower than before the headers. The engine runs fine so I am leaning toward the converter. It is definately a harmonic vibration. The vibration is slightly reduced when the converter goes into lockup around 45-50 mph. Maybe the S10 converter cant handle the new HP? Is that a possibility (vibration) with a failing converter? Please let me know what you think. Thanks

how bout the drive shaft? Ujoints?

the converter could be it also, but 2000 rpms is the aprox speed that most feel the vibration from the crappy steel driveshaft.

I don't think it could be the driveshaft. I have an aluminum LS1 driveshaft. It does the same vibration in Park without the driveshaft turning.
