Need help to remove tranny on 99 Camaro Z28 "HOW TO

Ok so here is the 411,

Not too long ago the tranny on my automatic 99 Z28 went out.

I finally found a friend that had a tranny available, he recently rolled his car and he sold him his tranny off his Z28. Its kinda nice, semi new with Corvetter Servos, upgraded shift kit and updgraded clutch.

Well he finally remeoved everything around the tranny and all the bolts surrounding the tranny.

im not en expert yet on Camaros and someone on a local forum informed me that i need to unbolth the torque converter from the flex plate.

Is this true?

also how do i unbolt the Torque Converter from the Flex Plate?

Tips and Good Help is much appreciated

I can't wait to get my camaro running it has been down since March.

Its about time that it drives.

here is a pic of my Mero

All help is appreicate it.

3 bolts i got them off by pulling the starter off and spining the engine by a wrench on the crank pully till a bolt lines up with the space were the starter was get a socket on a bolt on the flex plate then repeat till u got them all off.

Please don't call it that.

If you insist on calling it that, at least spell it correctly.

Ok im back,

Well im currently stuck and don't know what else to do.

all the bolts and necessary items have been removed as per Haynes Repair Manual.

Now when it comes to seperate the tranny from the block it just won't fully seperate. I will safely clear half an inch gap between the tranny housing and the block but after that the tranny will not slide out or budge.

any help or someone that relatively happened the same way?
