Need help FAST!

I got an axleshaft - used - and am afraid of putting it in. Check out the pics. The teeth are rubbed down on the used one, whereas my axle shaft w/ 191,000 miles still has new looking teeth. Will I run into any problems with the used shaft? Other than I hope it isn't bent like my last one.

Thanks. Nate.

I guess what I'm asking is should I just fork the money for a new one, or through this in and call it good? Thanks a ton.

you will be fine with that one. I couldn't tell from the pics but I am guessing the rest of the slines are fine? It should slide right in if not you might have to file the edges for it to go in easy.. IMO see if it slides in first without any problems.

Yeah, I was in a rush to finish car and finish Christmas shopping, chores, etc. Anyway had my Dad look over axle and I went with it. Seems to run fine, not bent which is good. And splines are holding fine, went in well. Never done this before so I freaked out. Shimmy is gone. It wasn't even that bad before, but WOW - I swear it feels like a Cadillac Now! Got to get to 90 mph cuz that's where it felt like the car was about to fall apart.
