need help with an axle problem.

my buddy has a 98 ta that has tcs and has a bent axle and i have a axle out of a 97 with non tcs. and i was wondering if it is possible to remove the ring from the tcs axle and put it on the non tcs axle. if anybody knows if it can be done or has done it please let me know. also wanted to know if i would have to have a bearing press to do this. thanks in advance for the help

Everything will work on the other axle, you just need to reuse his old backing plates and brakes with the sensors.

yea, only way to get the ring off is to pull the axle, and heat it up to let it slide off.... (im pretty sure your talking about the little teeth things near the rotors... i did this when i snapped my axle....

On the good housing the axles do not have the pilot for the rings, you will have to reuse his axles also, sorry i missed that.
