My rear axle and diff is rusted.......look here
My rear axle and diff is all rusted. Can I spray paint it like black , will it hold up, if so what kind of paint should i use.

i think everyones diffs and axles rust 
but a while back there was some people that painted/coated theirs and they looked pretty good, they had posts in the appearance forum with pics, and instructions on how to do it, maybe if you posted there you would get a better response, or just do a search, i searched for "painted axle" and it came up with two different people who did theirs and what they used. hope this helps
