My new Moser 12 bolt has alot of "play" ????

I installed my moser 12 bolt a couple months ago and noticed there was alot of play in the drivetrain. Its all in the rear, if you jack the rear tires off the ground you can grab the tires and rock them back and forth making a loud CLANKING sound. It has ALOT of play, what gives? Is this normal or should I be complaining to Moser about it ??

P.S. I have a spohn adjustable Torque arm, LCA,s and Spohn steel driveshaft. ( drivesahft was made to fit with the new rear )

Are the "t-bolts" still tight? If they are, I would remove both axles to make sure the press rings have not somehow backed off and inspect both axle bearings for wear.

Sorry to hear about that. I jacked my car up yesterday to see if I could feel any slop and it was pretty tight. You need to call Moser and tell a tech about this. Please let us know what you find out.

Yeah, you definitely want to get that checked, because if the play is due to excessive backlash, then you could risk hurting/breaking the gears inside.

I ordered mine around August 03 and I realize this thread is from 2004 but I had a nasty vibration and I have the exact same play that you describe! Did you ever find out what the problem was caused by? I am taking my car back into the shop tomorrow as they had to order shims and such to adjust the backlash they told me. Mine was also like this since day one and I've been going crazy for nearly 2 years now!
