Midwest stall

Please post your experiences with Midwest stall converters! I'm about to order a 3000 stall w/ 2.5 STR. Just wanted to see some opinions first.

i have a 2800 midwest with a 2.5str also, it woke the car up alot, it took .6 off my 1/4 with it and drag radials, the car will hit really hard out of the hole and it will also wake up your car at the dead spot of the 40 kick. The only thing that has been a problem is the the converter quit locking up on me when it shifts to overdrive and now it feels like a non lockup converter

I am not sure but the guy in drivetrain "nosfedgta" or something sells them and he knows everything about them too. He might become a supported vendor soon. I'd PM him.
