McLeod Street Twin install question

I just got my Street Twin clutch/master cylinder kit and I'm reviewing the instructions before beginning the install. There is one part included in the master cylinder kit hardware package that is not mentioned in the instructions. It is a small flat plate, about 1=11/16"x1-1/16"x.045"thick. It has a U-shaped cutout and a .046" hole drilled in one corner. Anybody know what that's for?

I believe it holds the line from the new master cylinder. Not a big deal.

That little plate isn't used. I called them during my install and asked them. They told me it was for the corvette clutches and isn't needed for the fbody.
