Depending on the Application.. Normal everyday street driving/drag racing go w/ the steel.. Road racing/STreet driving go w/ the aluminum.. EIther one will work and kick ***... TByrne can hook ya up w/ good pricing.. Pros/con's There are no con's other than the sheer weight of the unit... It's by far the best clutch for LTx fbodies Hands down...

Re: Mcleod Street Twin

I've had the MCleod Twin Disc Clutch. I liked it. I now have the Spec Stage IV. If I have to decide between the two, I think I'd stay with the Spec Stage IV. Simply because it seems more durable, and despite many runs at the track, it hasn't lost any of its grabbing power.

Re: Mcleod Street Twin

I am running the Street Twin steel flywheel with my 500fwhp 383, and it is working great. I launch at the track around 5800 rpm, and have had no problems.

It is heavy though

Re: Mcleod Street Twin

Steel twin set up here too. Great clutch and grabs like a mother. 4500rpm launches off the bottle and boost and the only thing slipping is my *** to the back of the seat. Weight would be a con, but when your running a bunch of power, whats a few horses.
