McLeod ST overkill?

Is the Mcleod ST over kill for my setup. Will the stock tranny and rear end be better off with a lesser clutch? Just looking for drivablity and dont want too much clutch chatter. I've pretty much ruled out spec, heard bad things about almost every clutch except the ST. Would the ram powergrip be better for me? thx

If you are going with a 383 and have the money i'd go with a street twin. All the other clutches seem hit or miss.

Street Twin is the way to go hands down.

Have friends running spec in ls1 cars with no issues. I have a street twin in my TA with over 20,000 km and 550+ RWHP. Love the fact it held up, hate the chatter and adjustment procedure. Will now try a spec stage 3+, hear good things about the new lining and supposed to hold 800 ft pounds.

I'd keep the streettwin ready to put back in because you are gonna have a lot of problems.

Assuming he launchs on sticky tires right?

He should be good once he gets rolling, no?
