I have a 95TA with a Spec 4, I would like to step up to a street twin but cannot decide between an aluminum flywheel or a steel flywheel.
Does a ST clutch kit with a aluminum flywheel weigh less than a spec 4 clutch kit with a lightened spec flywheel?

my fidanza alum flywheel is touchy to drive in traffic...granted it's mated to a spec 4.
it spins up nice and fast though.
basically...drag race stick with steel
autoX or road race...alum

I have the ST with the aluminum flywheel. I believe this setup weights the same as the stock setup (the extra weight of the second clutch disk and intermediate plate are offset by the lighter flywheel).

I have the ST with the aluminum. As said above that is pretty much my opinion. Leaving without enough gas the motor likes to "lope" like a cam until it grabs all the way...just a different feeling i guess. Revs up quick...traffic isant that bad. Overkill for my car but overall i like it.
Has anyone actually weighed any of the setups to get a better idea of the weight differences, seems the aluminum flywheeled ST setup would weigh about the same as a spec 4 with a lightned spec steel flywheel. Due to the ST have the extra disc and floater plate like OBE1 mentioned.... anyone actually know the weights?
