McLeod single disc?

I am about to replace my clutch and was looking at the mcleod single disc and pressure plate. It will come out to about 500 for the set. Anyone else got this set-up. If I dont do this i will prob do a ram hdx. My car is just a bolt on car, but i will be cammed and spraying it within the next year.

Its what i have in right now.. no problems yet, although i dont have the kind of power you are talking about yet... but i was looking at that clutch because i am going to do the same as you sometime in the near future. its been about a year since i heard but i believe the 7500rpm goes to somewhere in the 400-500 hp range (?, correct me if im wrong)

How long have you had it, do you like it? I have been running stockers since i got my car and i screwed up the one in it right now and have decided to go ahead and spend the money on a good one. I never plan on revving my car past 7k so I am hoping this will be a good choice for me. My car sees about 2 track trips a year, mainly daily driving, and the ocassional street race.

only about 9k on the clutch since i changed it out. Ive only had the car for about a year and a half. I was pissed cause the one that was in it was supposed to only have about 2k on it when i bought it... then again it was a spec... than again the oil pan may have been leaking a little too. I fixed both problems and now all is good

so i cant say i have a whole lot to compare it to in this application... but im pretty sure im staying away from the specs from what ive heard they have some problems

See a lot of people bashing spec, from my experience in our group of cars the only clutch issues are from abuse not faulty parts. the 2 spec 3 I saw fail was owner abuse (slipping clutch to prevent wheelspin)

Have a mcleod twin and a spec 3 plus recommend both, spec is much nicer to drive than twin and is holding up to 660 rwhp and 10 sec passes.

I have the mcleod single disk with the stock flywheel. My clutch has not slipped 1 time, it has been awesome. I have about 30,000 hard miles on it without any problems. Of course with slicks, that's a whole different story.

93 turbo, where did you get your slave from? Dealership? Also, I see you live in Denton. Are you in school up there?
