Mcleod Clutch Problem!

Well I just got my 383 back together after two years, college and work have kept me from being able to actually work on it. Finished it all up and started it, the engine runs great, but after letting it idle for a while I go to push the clutch in the pedal goes about 2/3's the way down and then makes a griding noise. Goes away when I let off of the clutch of course. Not sure if it could be something with the clutch fork not on all of the way, I just gave up tonight and havent checked, just seeing if anyone else has had a similar situation. Thanks for any help! Paul
BTW I have a Mcleod Twin Disc Thanks again.
