Re: master slave cylinder problem!

Most likely you destroyed the slave cylinder. I've never seen a rebuild kit. You can buy a replacement slave cylinder; I did from a local parts store for $70. You can also by the master/slave/reservoir combo from GM. I bought that several years ago from Dal for $83.

Re: master slave cylinder problem!

one time, i had a brain fart and tried the old school trick of pushing the pedal to help slide the trans on that last inch or so, ofcourse it didnt work. ofcourse it pushed the trans FARTHER away from the fricken bellhousing and blew apart the slave cyl. just like you said. so yeah, you'll need to buy a new one. I tried to put mine back together, and decided I didnt want to get it all back together only to find out it leaked or something like that. so i just replaced it. Id suggest the same for you.

Re: master slave cylinder problem!

dont think there are any. only aftermarket master's. if you can get the whole hyd. assembly for $83 like obe1 says, Id def. do that. Im not sure where to buy it from at that price, I think I paid that much for just the slave cyl. and thats with my employee discount at a dealership.

Re: master slave cylinder problem!

I think if you search for "dal" you'll find his email. Ive heard lots of people buy parts off him for a REALLY good price.

Re: master slave cylinder problem!

I think Bendix makes a replacement slave cylinder. As I recall, I found it on the Autozone website and it was something like $75-$80.
