My friend's M6 has 2.73 gears in it right now (it's an auto -> M6 conversion). She bought 4.10 gears to put in it.

With the auto + 2.73s she ran 13.6 @ 102. With the 6 speed + 4.10s, will she be trapping higher than 102? I have heard someone say that 4.10s will decrease traps.

Also, how would traps compare between the M6 + 3.42s or 3.73s and the M6 + 4.10s?

 

Trap speed isn't as important as ET.

That's where the gears really help out.

 

Well, I agree basically, I still want to know what the general opinion on this would be.

 

Put the 4.10 gears in and work on the launch. Get some sticky tires and suspension upgrades like LCA and reloc. brackets.
