M6 torque arm mount

Has anyone here (besides myself) ever modified an A4 outer torque arm mount to use with an M6 inner half? I did this on my M6 swap a few weeks ago and was wondering if anyone has experience with doing such, and if so, have noticed any I'll side effects, vibrations, etc. I did a shorty header install at the same time, and can't figure out if I'm going crazy or not, the car just feels a bit "rumbly" for lack of a better description, on hard acceleration only...at cruising speed and coasting all feels normal. I just know the clamshell outer was about the only shortcut I took, so it has me thinking. I have an LS driveshaft and stock flywheel/engine balancing....any experiences anyone?

Re: M6 torque arm mount

I would like to see that, is it any different for the ls t56's? I looked at it for awhile trying to decide if I could/should do that when I converted to the 6 speed a few years ago. I think I decided to buy the correct one but now that I think about it I cant remember. maybe I just bought the longer bolts.

Re: M6 torque arm mount

I can not find my write up, i think that it is on my laptop that fried. I reused my old a4 mount, my t56 came out of a 2004 gto. i modified the whole mount to fit the gto t56. i have been running it for 6 months now and i have not had any issues with the mount. however i can not say the same for my rear end I do have more road noise but i do have a poly trans mount. as far a reliability, i have gotten rubber in 3rd and it is still holding. I will take a pick next time it is on a lift, probably next week.

Re: M6 torque arm mount

Thanks for the replies, just been trying to hunt down a vibration issue from about 2500 RPM up, and hoping it isn't related to the brand new clutch/PP I just installed. Looking for it to be just about anything else
