m6 conversion

Just curious how much work is involved with an A4 to M6 conversion. I found a wrecked camaro with the interior color I want in my car, motor, trans, wiring harness, etc..... I just don't want to pull the wiring harness off my car, and am curious is it just as simple as plugging in the M6 ecm and all mechanical aspects?

Re: m6 conversion

Other than cutting the holes for the clutch master cylinder and shifter, it's just swapping parts. You can use your auto wiring harness, you just need to do some minor rewiring. You will need an M6 program flashed into your PCM. If your car has 2.73 gears you will need to change the gears, unless you use the 93 T56 that came with the 2.73 ratio. You can just swap gears or get a complete rear.

Re: m6 conversion

I had it done on my car. Had alot of other work done at the same time, so not sure the cost. But works perfectly.

Re: m6 conversion

Swapping out the pedals is probably the hard part.

Moving to "Drivetrain". Do a search. This topic is discussed frequently on that forum.
