M6 bellhousing pattern?

I folks, I had posted this topic in the 3rd gen engine forum. Newb.

I have a 454 in a 3rd gen v6 chassis at the momment, and i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the bellhousing pattern for the m6's is, or if it'll just bolt to the standard chevy block. Lastly, will it really hold any better than the 5spd out of the standard 3rd gen 305?
