lt4 - 2800 stall

lt4 - 2800 stall

Hi .I will soon be installing my lt4 package intake,hotcam,heads.I 'am thinking about a vig 2800 stall.My pcm is already tuned by bryan at pcmforless (lt4 hot cam tune)for a stock converter.Do i need to send it back or will it be fine with a 2800.

You will be fine with a 2800stall, stall wall is 3000. I ran a Yank 2800 for years with no problem on a stock tune.

One big factor in the death of transmissions is heat. Just get your self a nice big trans cooler and if your trans is in good working order now it should stay that way.

Of course the more you beat on it, the more you race it, the more wear and tear there is going to be... no trans lasts forever, especially a stock one just remember that.

B&M 24000 GVWR Cooler for around $50. Worked great for me over the years.

4L60e's are very reliable in my opinion, your on borrowed time when you start adding bolt ons and beating on it at all.
