LT1 M6 Trans Sticker question

Hey,

I bought a used trans from a wrecker last night. On the bottom of the passenger side of the trans is an orange sticker that says

Do not dissaemble
Call Technical assistance

I am sure thats what it says.... not too sure, I will have to check again tonight. Is this a rebuilt GM trans?

Thanks

Mine's got it too, and it's original. I'm pretty sure it's a factory sticker.

Re: LT1 M6 Trans Sticker question

Oh yeah... thats too bad, I was hoping it had less mileage on it! They power washed it and it's real shiny. It looks like a lot nicer clean up on it then I can see a wrecker spending to clean it up so I thought it may have been replaced as of recent. I going to see if I can track down the previous owner and talk to them about it.

Re: LT1 M6 Trans Sticker question

I wouldn't bother tracking anyone down and putting the poor ex-owner through that anguish. In my opinion there is nothing special about that trans. GM had an exchange program set up on the T56 transmissions. Basically they had specialized technicians for them to avoid the cost of training every single Mr. Goodwrench on how to rebuild them.
