LT1 fit on 92' TH400R (4L60) Tranny?

1992 Camaro Z28 : Will an LT1 fit with the 1992 Camaro's TH400R (4L60) 4-speed with O/D automatic Transmission? What type of mod's do they need to do? How will the engine be at fitting into the 1992 engine bay?

I am looking at getting a stage ][ LT1 with fair idle and loped cam, (brand new engine), new chip..

My transmission was already overhauled with Kevlar bands, High Performance shift kit, all new bands and clutches...

With have stock 3:23 rear as I also drive on HWY (only put like 4,500km/year on car)...

TH400R?
do you mean 700R4? or THM 400?
the 700R4 is the same as a 4L60, and yes it will bolt up to an LT1 because an LT1 has most of the same dimensions as a regular Small Block Chevy
