LT1 clutch line drill mod?

Okay I have my LT1 flexible line removed now. There appears to be a restriction on the MC end but not on the fitting surface, it is down in the hole about 1" deep or so. In fact I can barely fit a 1/16th drill bit in this hole. The 1/8" drill bit will fit in the upper portion of the fitting, but stops about 1" into the fitting.

Cant tell anything on the SC end do to the right angle fitting.

Is this indeed a similar restriction like the LS1 flexible line?
Should I run the 1/8" drill bit in and open it up?

The mod is only for LS1s. There is a small restriction in the LS1 braided line (different than LT1) that GM put in to soften the clutch pedal.

I decided to enlarge the 1/16th" hole to 1/8th" in the MC end of the hose. Figured what the hell. Dont know yet if it will help.

Is this 1/16th " opening down in the hole on the MC fitting not considered a restriction?

Considering how stiff the LT1 pedal is already, I'd say there was no restriction to begin with. You should be fine making the hole bigger though, just make sure you get all those metal filings out of there.

It did make the pedal a bit softer. I blew the shavings out of the completely dettached line with compressed air and water. Clearly the hydraulics should respond "faster" now. Whether its noticable is another debate.
