LS1 T56...what do i need to convert to LT1 T56?

LS1 T56...what do i need to convert to LT1 T56?

i just bought an LS1 6 speed tranny...what all do i need other than a bellhousing to make it work? please list all parts...also, since my 93 is ECU and never had an electronic A4, will i need a new computer?

YOu'll need a new input shaft for the tranny. The LS1 shaft is about 1 inch too long

would i need a new hydraulic clutch line? need a new chip for my ECU? i definately need a new bellhousing correct?

Along with a new chip burnt for a m6 your also going to need a 93-97 6-speed bell housing. One more thing is different I just cant put my finger on it but honestly I think you might be better selling that tranny and geting a 93-97 model.

the labor and parts to convert it would most likely add up to more than it would cost to sell it and get the right transmission. i believe you would need all the hydraulics from the ls1 since they are different than the LT1 version.
